FastMail
Throughout my time on the internet, I've managed to rack up a veritable
plethora of email addresses. There's your professional address (aj@tekguide.net),
your personal address (aj@theinternet.com), your "this-is-too-entertaining-to-pass-up"
address (aj_is@the_beach_tanning.com), your incognito address (not_aj@theinternet.com)...
Enter FastMail, an email provider offering up all the extras you can't
live without. What makes FastMail different from all those other free accounts
you've racked up? Well for starters, no advertising. Yep, you read
that right. None. FastMail is totally ad-free, even if you don't sign up
for a paid account. They also boast one of the most painless attachment-adding
functions I've ever used, both external POP and IMAP access, and - like
the name claims - the service is fast.
For those of you who need a little more than a free account, there are
multiple levels of member accounts. My Enhanced account, at $39.95 USD
for the year, includes Virus Scanning, Spam Protection, Email Forwarding,
2 GB of storage, the ability to send 50 MB attachments, dozens of aliases,
web-based File Storage, and so much more.
Give FastMail a try and you won't be disappointed.
